Dr Pavlos Papadopoulos is the Founder of TrueDeploy. Pavlos received his PhD in Privacy-Preserving Systems around Security, Trust and Identity from Edinburgh Napier University and an MSc in Advanced Security and Digital Forensics, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Systems from the University of Piraeus, Greece. He is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA), a member of the Blockpass Identity Lab (BIL), and has been awarded the “Outstanding Young Person in Cyber” award at the Scottish Cyber Awards 2022. Pavlos was also a lecturer in cybersecurity at Edinburgh Napier University and has extensive industry experience, having worked as a network engineer, security, and R&D consultant for several companies in the UK, Germany and Greece.

Dr Owen Lo is the Tech Lead at TrueDeploy. During his time at Edinburgh Napier University, Owen has contributed to the successful spin-out of numerous university companies, including: Symphonic Software, Cyancomb and MemCrypt Ltd. Owen is a Senior Research Fellow in the Blockpass ID Lab at Edinburgh Napier University. He graduated with a 1st Honours (Class Medal Award) degree in Computer Networks and Distributed Systems at Edinburgh Napier University before continuing to complete a PhD.

Nigel Chadwick is the Commercial Advisor of TrueDeploy. Nigel is an Entrepreneurship & scale-up specialist, former co-founder & CEO of an IoT connectivity platform venture – Stream Technologies – prior to its acquisition by Arm (Softbank). He was a GM/VP post-acquisition.

Richard is an experienced Full-Stack Developer with a wide base of knowledge in large-scale commercial projects. In addition, he is a PhD candidate specialising in Natural Language Processing and statistical privacy tools. He provides TrueDeploy with key competencies in dealing with sensitive data at scale, as well as integrating AI for greater visibility.

Prof Bill Buchanan OBE, is an Advisor at TrueDeploy and a Professor of cybersecurity at Edinburgh Napier University. He pioneered the creation of the Blockpass Identity Lab, delivered groundbreaking research projects and successfully spun out numerous ventures. A distinguished cryptography expert and included in FutureScot’s – Top 50 Scottish Tech People Who Are Changing The World.
